The rumble of thunder caused bothMundan and Martha to jump. The metalic bench rattled vigorously under the combined weight of the two. Matha gazed up at Mundan, and he gazed back. The moment of silence was breached with laughter. Finally, the sound of a deisal engine roared to the bus stop. The double doors opened, greeting the pair. As Mundan climbed the stairs after Martha, he couldn't help but feel the eerie sensation of being watched. He poked his head out of the bus and looked around. Before being admonished by the driver, Mundan saw a shadowy figure in a small brimmed hat scanning through a newspaper. The figure cocked his head as if he was looking at Mundan, but Mundan didn't see any acknowlegdement in the man's body language. He walked toward the back of the transit and plopped next to Martha, still feeling the man watching. When Martha asked what was wrong and Mundan said "Nothing. Nothing at all. " as he stared into the seat in front of him.
